Circulation is 17,000 (every 3 months) with a reader-to-magazine ratio of 2.5. Lotus Guide is distributed to hundreds of locations from Mount Shasta to Grass Valley and Nevada City, including Chico and surrounding areas. Our stands are constantly monitored and supplied with copies of Lotus Guide to maximize your ad exposure. Distribution locations are (but not limited to) bookstores, medical offices, health food stores, coffee shops and cafes, health clubs, sporting goods stores, Chico State University, art galleries, art centers, and many more.

Free Calendar of Events

This service is for those in the community who offer a service/event for example, meditation workshops and training, special community events, etc.) that are open to the public for free/small donation or for which the cost is so low that advertising would be cost prohibitive. This service is offered by Lotus Guide so everyone in the community can have a voice and connect with others of like mind. If you're an advertiser this rule is waived, which makes it nice if you have a time-sensitive event you would like posted on the printed Calendar of Events (also online).

Editorial & Columns by Experts:

Each issue will have a Health and Nutrition column that is locally oriented toward the needs of those in the community, with a question and answer section from our readers. Each issue also includes an editorial by known writers, lecturers, and speakers in the areas of science, meditation, spirituality, and more. Book & Film Reviews:

Read reviews on leading authors, scientists and researchers about cutting edge topics of the day. We make every attempt to stay on top of the latest books, DVD's, and CD's being distributed on the important topics of our time.

Digital File Requirements

If you choose to have someone else design and submit files to Lotus Guide you must follow the following guidelines. A minimum of $25 will be charged to optimize for our press and/or online directory. Please note that files submitted to Lotus Guide that do not meet these file requirements will be charged an additional hourly design cost.

Deadlines for ads to be submitted is the 22^nd of the month previous to printing. Example, the deadline for the May issue of Lotus Guide is April 22^nd.

Additional Notes

All electronically submitted files are subject to additional charges according to the shape they are in and how much website optimization is required. The hourly rate for file cleanup and conversion is $50/hour and a half hour minimum.
