Ruler of the Gods and Father of the Heavens Meet Again!

Jupiter, king of the gods, and Uranus, father of the heavens, meet every 13 to 14 years. This time they meet in the sign of Aries, the sign of new beginnings, personal growth, and survival. The last time these two heavenly bodies came together in the sign of Aries was in 1927, when Lindbergh crossed the Atlantic. The “Lone Eagle” amazed us by being the first person to fly solo around the world. Historically, the Jupiter-Uranus pair has brought us technical breakthroughs.

It also has brought periods of revolution, illustrated by the U.S. Declaration of Independence in 1776, the French Revolution in 1789, and the near deposition of the British monarchy in 1831. In more recent years, when the conjunction occurred in 1968-1969 in the sign of Libra, Neil Armstrong walked on the moon and we experienced “Woodstock Nation.”

The last conjunction of Uranus and Jupiter was in 1997 in the sign of Aquarius, ruling information, technology, science, and the principals of freedom and liberation. These principals are wholly embraced by our planetary duo, and it resulted in solidifying the cultural integration of the computer and Internet, both of which now touch so many parts of our lives. This sphere of influence extends beyond our desk and office time to our spiritual, psychological, and physical experience. A profound shift has occurred in how we encounter and interact with our reality today.

Jupiter, for better or worse, magnifies all it touches; its influence expands our horizons. Uranus brings unpredictable, unusual changes and upsets, meant to propel us toward greater truth, authenticity, and freedom. In Aries, the first sign of the tropical zodiac, the Ram leads with the courage to blaze new trails in the direction of personal freedom and individual rights. Circumstances are ripe for potential civil unrest and revolution, rallied in the name of personal freedom and liberation. Watch as Jupiter and Uranus’s divine dance plays out across the globe’s conflicts and wars. Each nation strives for its right to exist, yet each thread will trend to the oneness of our large global community.

This exciting rendezvous is strongly associated with human progress and evolution. It is about expanding our human spirit and awareness. It is about how to evolve and integrate our consciousness to include all other living beings. It is about how we can bravely move into the unknown, face our fears, and break free of the boundaries and ties that bind us to a familiar, comfortable, but no longer viable past—individually and collectively!

Aries – Happy Birthday! Dream bigger than ever and consider possibilities never before imagined. Allow your inner wisdom to guide you. You do not need to know exactly where you are headed … not just yet. Simply trust that it is right for you now. In the process, remain sensitive to your companion’s needs.

Taurus – Happy Birthday! Opportunities abound to participate in different social groups and play with new friends, all the while creating new visions and possibilities for your future. Go ahead and take some risks that you would not normally consider. You will be exposed to new perspectives that can greatly enrich your life.

Gemini – Happy Birthday! Your professional prospects are broadening. Take advantage of new paths and possibilities. Perhaps you can capitalize on some earlier success. It is time to reconsider what you can accomplish on your own. Talk about your options with friends and mentors you trust and respect.

Cancer – The time has come to move forward into places of your life that you could only fantasize about in the past. Persevere with courage and confidence. Your enthusiasm will set the stage for success. Stand up for your values and defend your viewpoint while not taking it all too personally!

Leo – It's time for adventure and travel, even if you do not stray far from your living room. Read books, write stories, take a trip inside your head.
