Hidden Messages in Water

an Interview with Dr. Masaru Emoto, author of Hidden Messages in Water

For those who may not be familiar with Dr. Masaru Emoto’s work, Dr. Emoto captures frozen water crystals in photographs that present a glimpse into water’s mysterious response to thoughts, words, and pictures. You may know his work from the movie What the Bleep Do We Know? in which it was brought up that if our thoughts have this kind of observable effect on water, what kind of effect do we have on ourselves since we are made mostly of water? The answer is obvious of course; we have a profound effect on our physiology with our thoughts and emotions. If this were all there was to think about it would be profound, but when you add to this what has been found in other branches of science we see that we are coming face-to-face with our own cocreative powers. Physicists have known for many years now that our thoughts have a direct and observable affect on sub-atomic particles so it’s not really that surprising that our thoughts would have an affect on water. When we met Dr. Emoto, we were impressed by his simplicity and ability to explain his work to most everyone who listened, including children. We would like to encourage you to visit his website and see more photos and information. For now, here are some of the highlights of our interview with Dr. Emoto.

Lotus Guide: I believe “validation” is important because it allows our minds to let go of questions and limitations and go on to other levels of awareness. What is it that your work “validates” and how does this help us in our everyday lives?

Masaru Emoto: A familiar example that I believe my research “validates” is the idea that “the water holds and transmits information.” Also, I could say this is validating the proverb, “The water is the origin of all things” as quoted by Thales. As you know, water changes its dimension from solid matter to liquid matter and to gaseous matter (and probably to light at last). Thus, I believe that the more we properly understand water, the more we can expand our consciousness into other dimensions. The validation for me personally has been invaluable because to be honest I could not sense the invisible world through my own sensibilities. When people would speak of the inner world of our psychology I would wonder if that was even possible, but through seeing how our thoughts have an observable effect on water I no longer doubt and it’s because of this validation.

LG: Could you explain a little about the Emoto Project?

ME: It’s a small book specifically for children so they can understand my work with water and will be provided for no cost. Children, much like water, respond well to intentions, especially from their primary caregivers such as parents and teachers. The Messages from Water for Children will teach children how their thoughts can help heal the world’s water in a fun and interesting way.

LG: Why do you think it’s important for young people to understand this information?

ME: Children are still very close to their water natures.

LG: Do you think research like yours indicates our expanding consciousness into other dimensions?

ME: Understanding that water exists as a solid, a liquid, a vapor, as a molecule, and at some point as light is to also understand our own nature and possibilities because we are mostly made of water. After I realized that we are water I came to realize that we do not have death; we only change into higher vibrations of being. This is an irreplaceable finding for me personally.

LG: It seems to me that a lot of research has been going on with how our thoughts affect our DNA, which in turn has a direct effect on our health. From what you were saying in your lecture I gather that you believe water, even though it is not self-aware, holds and transmits our thoughts and emotions. Do you think our DNA also works along these same principles?

ME: Actually, I regard DNA as “little, but strong, water” so yes, I think so.

LG: What would you like to see come out of your work?

ME: If each one of us starts thinking, learning, and understanding more about water and the fact that we are water-based ourselves, then we can start to love, thank, and respect water in our daily lives. For more information visit www.hado.net
