* We (Dhara & Rahasya), along with a select few friends, have a vision we would like to share with all of you in the community. So much of what we have envisioned so far has come true and we see no need for it to stop now. We want to create a meditation center in the area that would be accessible to everyone, a place of healing and rejuvenation for all who come (the article below will describe how we see it and why).
Phase 1: We want to find something very close to Chico, if not right in Chico or just on the outskirts, that would allow us to have our office, some rooms to rent for sessions, etc., and possibly a larger room to do meditations that would be open to the public. This could even be a place where we could also live until we reach Phase 2. It could be a very large home or an older building that needs refurbished, or…
Phase 2: This phase could be Phase 1 & 2 if the situation was correct. What we need is to find the place within 20 minutes of Chico, preferably with a house or two already on it. We could always rent a small office in town for the Lotus Guide office.

These are transformative times and it’s important for a community to have as many places like this as possible. We know and have met some very powerful people that could attract many others to the area to participate in workshops and special events.

Islands of the Future
Undoubtedly all who read this will understand what is written, for it’s written in concise, understandable language. But what’s really being said needs to be understood by the heart and taken into ourselves in the same way we ingest food. We can eat an apple and understand that the taste is good and hold the fruit in our hands, but the essence of that apple, once ingested, is felt as a living energy. Words are at best misleading, but we want to make them absolutes, so keep in mind that there is a vibratory awareness attached to the words.
So what are “Islands of the Future?” In the words of Ken Carey in his book, The Starseed Transmissions, “As you reorient toward the new way of being in the world, you will be drawn to centers where the vibrational atmosphere is more conducive to a healthy state of functioning. . . . These centers will represent the focal points around which the organs of Planetary Being will form. They will be, in a sense, islands of the future in a sea of the past. . . . These will be the first beachheads . . . the points of entry through which the healing energies of transformation will be channeled. All of these centers will work together to prepare the human species for its collective awakening.”
Since the Harmonic Convergence of 1987, many grassroots communities have started up around the world. These communities consist of small groups of people who want to start from where they are to bring in a new reality to this world. Surely we’ve noticed by now that change that starts from a large-scale movement simply doesn’t work because it leaves out the very people it needs for its support. These communities need to be small and as self-sustaining as possible.
A community such as this could support a few families and individuals in an environment of corporate endeavors. Our vision is a meditation center offering to everyone in the surrounding community a place to come and learn and teach meditation and participate in many of the various personal growth and healing workshops. We see so many wonderful people in this area who are working hard to help others and at the same time survive?we don’t need to be in survival mode if we work together.
As with any grassroots movement (and as the word suggests), it starts with the planting of a seed. The seed could be a couple of people getting together who want to share the common bond of being human, or it could start with an article in a magazine that reaches out to a community that’s hungry for spiritual change and that’s hungry to do its part to live more fully in the here and now and that’s hungry to create world peace.
So after you’ve read this, and ingested it, so to speak, if you feel a strange pull or yearning, our suggestion is to follow your feelings. We know of a few groups already starting up and a few that are in the process, including us, and we could put you in touch with them.
